Paris, deux jours

Today we crawled out of bed at 10, and headed off to the top of the Eiffel tower. There is a reason why the lines are so long, it's amazing.

Tip, you can book a reservation for a ride up online, we did and saved lots oft time. Then a visit to the Pantheon where Voltaire, Dumas, Victor Hugo and other of France's elite are laid to rest. But not before a stop for a banana and nutella crepe!

After a short walk through the amazing Jardin du Luxembourg we stopped in the church Saint Sulpice. The church had a small role in 'The DaVinci code' and I had to check it out. The best part of the church was a sign they put up basically saying everything that was in the book was false. Then a long, cramped, hot metro ride ( must have been rush hour) brougt us to Pere Lachaise. The city's largest cemetery is home to Oscar Wilde, Jim Morrison and others. Only problem is they seem to lock up the place after a certain time, we didn't get in. Then back on the Metro to Le Marais, where we ran into what had to be the Paris chapter of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence! After a so so dinner, we headed back to the hotel, getting caught in the rain along the way. Can't wait to see what day three brings!

Bonne nuit!!
